Wayne--An abused child's story of courage, survival, and hope
Author: Wayne Theodore and Leslie Alan Horvitz
The powerful, uplifting, and inspiring true-life story of Wayne Theodore’s triumph over adversity. WAYNE lays bare the shocking and scandalous details of one of the worst child abuse cases ever recorded in the state of Massachusetts.
Raised by a violent father and a passive, dysfunctional mother, Wayne and his eleven brothers and sisters were subjected to relentless beatings, torture, starvation, and abandonment. Ultimately, Wayne discovers the inner-strength to transcend his violent past, to heal his wounds, and to break the cycle of abuse. This is the gift WAYNE offers to you.

I just finished reading Wayne. I have heard of such incredible abuse! It is frightening that these children should have been treated so very poorly and that no adult did anything about it. I find it inspiring that Mr. Theodore lived through such horror and has still had the strength to build a happy life. I can't recommend this book highly enough!

I would like you to know that I really enjoyed the book WAYNE. I liked how the chapters were set up - I couldn't wait to read the next one. The book took me only a few days to read and very much kept my interest. I would give it an excellent rating. Also, thank you for your prompt service. I ordered the book on a Thursday afternoon and I received it on Saturday morning, and once I opened the book I just couldn't put it down.
